The singer, songwriter, record producer, and music executive is known professionally as Davido. He became a famous face in the Nigerian music industry after releasing his hit single, Dami Duro , in He released his debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo , in to critical acclaim. He released the top-charting singles, If and Fall , in Both songs were a hit internationally, as Fall was the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history.His single "Dami Duro" was well-received throughout Nigeria. Along with his elder brother Adewale Adeleke, Davido is the co-owner of HKN Music (a record label home to Sina Rambo, B. Red and DeeKay).[3][3][4] Davido has produced many songs for Naeto C, Skales, Tiwa Savage and Sauce Kid.
In April , he signed an endorsement deal with MTN Nigeria.[5] On October 23 , Davido partnered with Guinness Nigeria for the "Guinness World of More" concert.[6]

On August 31, , Davido returned to social media after taking a three-month break to chat with the GrammyMuseum on Instagram Live about the rise of Afrobeats and other issues within their industry.

He was withdrawn from Oakwood University when he started getting bad grades and relocated to London. He graduated with a degree in Music after his father paid the university to erect a Music department for an inaugural class of one. Davido officially started doing music during his time at Oakwood University and after his withdrawal focused more on vocals instead of production.During the Live session, Davido also revealed that he has completed work on his A Better Time. No release date has yet been specified. On September 10, , Davido returned with the single, "FEM", alongside its music video.
On 31 October , Davido lost his three-year-old first son and third child, David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr., who drowned in a swimming pool at his Banana Island compound.[12]
